When I was 17 I left home in search of adventure.
I arrived in Jersey, found work and saved every penny fulfil my dream of backpacking around the world.
During this time I saw the gorillas in Uganda, climbed Kilimanjaro, worked with the leatherback turtles in Costa Rica, taught English in Colombia and worked my way around the world.
Seeing these incredible places and meeting the most colourful people, I wanted to capture it all on camera and that’s where the passion for photography was born.
After 14 years of living away and working in the Finance Industry, I returned home to train as a Photographer!!
Under the guidance of Brendan Murphy, I trained as a photographer with the Irish News and went to college. I was awarded ‘Newcomer of the Year’ and got 2nd place in the ‘News Category’ of the IPR Awards. I bought my first camera in 2004, lenses and my wee Corsa and I was all set. I worked as a freelance Press Photographer and as soon as I photographed my first Wedding, that was it. I was hooked!
I have worked as a Wedding and Portraiture Photographer now for over 10 years and absolutely love it! It’s a privilege to document a couple’s story on their wedding day, to capture all the emotions that go with it. My aim is to produce a wedding album that reflects this in an honest and organic way and to provide families with timeless images that they will be proud to pass on to future generations.
I'm lucky to be living in the beautiful village of Dundrum with my husband, David and children, Marc and Sofia and of course, I can't forget about our golden labrador, Bella. Being surrounded by sea, forest parks, mountains and a castle, I'm spoilt for stunning locations to photograph my own children, couples and families. I also have a studio at my home if the great outdoors aren't for you.
